Shapes are everywhere!
In Nursery 3 we learnt all about shapes, mostly in terms of understanding that shapes are everywhere in the environment, and that many familiar objects, which we can find even in our class, are in fact representations of shapes. A clock is round as a circle, a book can either be a square or a rectangle, and a slice of pizza is of a triangular shape. In Arts, the children had a lot of fun using shapes creatively to represent familiar objects and people, deciding what to create and how to achieve it without any teacher support. People, Elsa, houses, merry-go-rounds, schools and dinosaurs are just some of the wonderful things the children created.
